Fear and love of God

The Fear of the Lord keeps us from lawnessness (sin) and love of the Lord keeps us from legalism (the law). You need both. 2 Cor 7:1 “therefore having these promises let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (not in the love of God). In Jesus day it was skewed towards legalism but in the last days it will be lawnessness. It will be very hard to be a Christian in the last days – men will be lovers of pleasure, themselves etc and won’t fear God.

2 revelations

1) the triune God is similar to how we were made in respect of how it can be one – body soul and spirit = father son and holy spirit.

2) With God we are able to live as Jesus did. Not by our own efforts but by allowing Him to work in us.

Word in quiet time
